Complaint on Easter chocolate

We bought 4 of these chocolates chicks for our grandchildren. They are the 75g UPC 57835 0****.

EXP. Mar 2026. This was the worst tasting chocolate ever.

Definitely not Laura Secord quality. Very disappointing.

My box of chocolates was sent back to them after I was not home for delivery and they refused any kind of refund even though they now have my chocolates! Horrible customer service!

It is clearly written on their website that after 2 attempts, the order is sent back tot hem and you have 30 days to claim it back and paying the shipping fees and the administration fees. If you didn't read their policy, that's your fault.

Clearly written where exactly? Mastercard agreed they had no right to charge me for an item not received and refunded my purchase price including shipping.

Disappointment with reduction in quality of boxed chocolates.

I was a loyal Laura Secord customer for decades, however, in the past decade I have noticed a marked deterioration in the quality of Laura Secord boxed chocolates, which seems to get worse with each passing year - so much so that I feel compelled to inform the new owners that they must do better to do justice to the Laura Secord brand.

The pics say it all do not buy we got 4 all the same thing thing chunks not smooth expired chocolate each egg was about 9.00 a piece what a waste of almost 40$ claims to be the best chocolate in Canada I've had bakers chocolate that was better than that

I went in to buy Laura secord French and frosted mint chocolate as I am pregnant and have been craving it for days now, but they were out of stock and the girl recommended me signature mint chocolate so I said okay and bought them.. when I tried one it had mint looking particles on the chocolate I thought it was normal and I ate it as I look at my fingers tips they've turned green from the candy rapper, so the ink from the rap has leaked in to

the chocolate from they outside and there all like that.

Im very disappointed as I was looking forward to have some chocolate mint from Laura Secord which is my favourite.

I hope nothing happens to me and my baby for eating couple of them with all the colour leak from the rapper.

Location was in Brampton, Ontario. bramalea city centre mall.

Also I payed cash and never got the receipt.

Finally, finally, someone paying attention responded, noting that indeed their website was faulty, and promising to fix it (I hope before *too* many people were ripped off). Companies like this, with poor customer service, make it *so* difficult to receive reports about their malfunctions that they are their own worst enemy. I do wonder — would they have been so slow and clumsy the other way around, if *they* we’re losing payment, instead of systematically overcharging?.

Online, Laura Secord in places offers half off a 2nd item, but then when you choose it, they charge you full price!
Its probably poor quality control on their website, and not false advertising or deliberate ripoff, but Im not actually sure. Six emails later, with screenshots, detailed explanations, copies back to them of their own invoice theyre apparently too lazy to look up from their records, and still no action to reverse the overcharge nor to fix their website & billing. What does it take, for them simply to read their bill and fix things?
The first error is their bad, but the appalling customer service is to their shame.

Packaging

Im sending this email in regards to a Christmas gift package received at Christmas. Your cardboard box packaging of individually wrapped Signature Milk Chocolates contained 3( I repeat three) chocolates within the size of the box it was packaged in.

Im appalled with the environmental waste your company is contributing to.

As a loyal Canadian customer to a such a long standing Canadian company I will now rethink purchases at Laura Secord. Do Better!!!

Hi, i purchased a small box of the butter and cream fudge today, it is a decently sized square box that cost 10$, which i was excited to open. When i got home, i opened the box and saw that only half of the box was full and that the pretty cover design under the plastic window is in fact a cardboard box to fit around the fudge.

This is ridiculous, a 10$ box of fudge that is only half full, and you cant open the box to look inside because it is taped down.

This isnt sneaky packaging it is an outright lie to your customers. Absolutely ridiculous.

You are the one lying you took photos of the box open so it looks like it’s half full and flattened the packaging! I buy this all the time!!

It’s delicious and worth every penny .

I have always loved Laura Secord chocolate so when my package arrived today I was looking forward to eventually enjoying some delicious chocolate! Im in the hospital at the moment but my mom had received the package today at my house from the courier.

When she opened it she mentioned that all the ice packs that were used were hot and everything in the package was warm to touch. So when she opened the chocolate box she found that most of the chocolates had melted. Out of the 28 chocolates only 12 were salvageable since she was able to save them by putting them in the freezer right away. The mini chocolate bars were not salvageable.

Im so disappointed because I love their chocolate but now Im going to always wonder if I order from them again will they turn out the same way. My order # is: 34683
